Academician Lu Lin Introduces Guarantee Strategies for Children's Mental Health during the Pandemic

  

  On May 6, 2020, invited by the Maudsley Hospital of Britain, academician Lu Lin, president of Peking University Sixth Hospital (PKUSH), gave an online lecture entitled "Guarantee Strategies for Children’s Mental Health during the Covid-19 Pandemic" and answered in great detail the questions raised by British audience. The lecture was well received.

  Academician Lu Lin introduced the incidences of mental disorders in children and adolescents both domestically and internationally during the Covid-19 pandemic, analyzed the impact of different measures such as quarantine, delay of school opening and home learning on the mental health of Children and adolescents, and shared our policies and experience for guaranteeing children and adolescents’ mental health. In addition, Lu Lin called for the establishment of a global mental health epidemic prevention system for children and adolescents so as to jointly improve the mental health of children and adolescents through effective cooperation among multiple disciplines, departments, regions and countries.

  The seminar is an important manifestation of China's mental health workers' support for the fight against Covid-19 pandemic. It shows the increasingly expanding international influence of China's mental health and also marks the deepening of cooperation between China and the UK in the field of mental health.
