PKU Holds Dialog with China CDC on Public Health Capacity Building

Peking University held a dialog in June 5 with the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) on capacity building in public health. The event was held answering the call made by CPC General-Secretary Xi Jinping in June 2 in talks with health experts. The PKU team participating in the dialog was led by the University’s Executive Vice President Dr. Zhan Qimin.

Building on the momentum of individual-based collaboration between staff of China CDC and faculty of PKU School of Public Health, the two sides saw the dialog as an opportunity to bring their cooperation to a new level and contribute to a stronger public health system in China. They agreed to increase ties in training, research, think-tank development, platform building, and dual employment.
