Peking University Third Hospital Joins China-CEEC Hospital Cooperation Alliance

  

  In order to promote the hygienic exchange and cooperation between countries along the “Belt and Road”, the first congress of all the members of China-Central and Eastern Europe Countries Hospital Cooperation Alliance (the Alliance) was held by Chinese Hospital Association in Nanjing on Apr. 27. More than 230 people attended the congress, including officials from China’s National Health and Family Planning Commission, presidents and representatives from member hospitals and inspector hospitals. Academician Zhao Yupei, China’s rotating Chairman of the Alliance and President of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, and Prof Béla Merkely, CEEC’s rotating Chairman of the Alliance and Vice Rector for Clinical Affairs of Semmelweis University, Hungary, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

  According to the Alliance charter, 11 applicant hospitals from China and 9 from CEEC made their statements respectively to the congress. President Qiao Jie of Peking University Third Hospital made the initiation statement. After deliberation, PKU Third Hospital was successfully initiated into the Alliance. In the future, as one of the Alliance hospital, PKU Third Hospital will carry out cooperation and exchange with member hospitals in fields such as clinical technology, medical education and research, and hospital management so as to improve collaborative level and results production.
