Peking University People’s Hospital Publishes Monograph on Breast Cancer

A new monograph on breast cancer was published on May 20. The book, Interpretation of Classic Literatures on Breast Cancer, was written by a group of young breast specialists from major hospitals around the country, most of whom are on the youth committees of various academic bodies. In this book, the writers tried to interpret and comment on classic literatures in clinical settings and in Chinese context, which is believed to be informative to doctors of all levels in this field.

This project was started in 2016 by Prof. Wang Shu, who is Director of the Breast Center of Peking University People’s Hospital. It was sponsored by the Medical Publishing Fund of Peking University. President Zhan Qimin of Peking University Health Science Center wrote the preface to the book.

Publication of the book was timed to coincide with the 10th Annual Meeting of Chinese College of Surgeons, the Breast Cancer Seminar on Early Diagnosis and Standardized Treatment, and the 2017 Breast Cancer High-Level Forum of Peking University People’s Hospital (i.e. the Annual Meeting of the Youth Committee of the Chinese College of Surgeons).
