Four Teachers from Peking University Health Science Center Selected by Ten Thousand Talent Program

  The Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee announced the other day the list of the third round of “National Ten Thousand Talent Program”. Twenty-two teachers from Peking University were selected, among whom Professor Zhou Demin and Professor Jiao Ning from the State Key Laboratory of Natural and Biomimetic Drugs at Peking University Health Science Center, and Professor Gong Kan from Urology Department of Peking University First Hospital were selected for  “National Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talent”. Jiang Changtao, distinguished research fellow at School of Basic Medical Sciences, was selected for “Young Top-notch Talent”.

  It was reported that Peking University ranked top among universities nationwide in the number of scholars selected for the “Ten Thousand Talent Program”, with 12 for “Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talent”, 3 for “Philosophy and Social Sciences Leading Talent”, 1 for “Teaching Master”, 6 for “Young Top-notch Talent” (4 for natural sciences, and 2 for philosophy and social sciences and culture and arts). Up till March 2018, of the “Ten Thousand Talent Program”, Peking University has in total 1 teacher for “Outstanding Talent”, 25 for “Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talent”, 10 for “Philosophy and Social Sciences Leading Talent”, 2 for “Millions of Leading Engineering Talent”, 4 for “Teaching Master”, and 41 for “Young Top-notch Talent”.
