PKUHSC Delegation Visits Thailand

  From March 6 to 7, 2018, a delegation led by ZHAN Qimin, vice president of Peking University and president of Peking University Health Science Center(PKUHSC) paid a visit to Thailand. During the visit, the delegation arrived at Chulalongkorn University and held a - PKUHSC-Chulalongkorn joint seminar there. They also visited the Confucius School of Chulalongkorn University and met with Mr. Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, a major donor of PKUHSC and president of Thailand TCC Group, and Ms. Khunying Wanna, vice president of TCC Group (Mrs. Sirivadhanabhakdi).

  President Bundhit Eua-arporn extended his warm welcome to PKUHSC delegation. He noted that Peking University has made remarkable achievements in recent years and hoped that in the future the two sides can cooperate more in the fields of cancer, big data and sustainable development of resources. President Wacharasindhu expressed his hope for joint seminars and joint research in more medical fields.

  After the talks, the PKUHSC delegation led by ZHAN Qimin, accompanied by professor FU Zengyou, acting president of the Confucius School, visited the Confucius School of Chulalongkorn University.

 

  

     

  

  On the afternoon of March 6, PKUHSC-Chulalongkorn University Medical School Seminar was held at the medical school of Chulalongkorn University. Six experts from both sides delivered wonderful speeches related to cancer, imaging, nephropathy and big data, and answered questions from the teachers and students present at the seminar.

 

  

  

  On March 7, ZHAN Qimin met with Mr. Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, a major donor of PKUHSC and president of Thailand TCC Group, and Mrs. Sirivadhanabhakdi. ZHAN expressed his heartfelt thanks and respect to Mr. and Mrs. Sirivadhanabhakdi for their great passion for medical cause and for the training of medical talents, hoping that they will continue to care for the development of PKU Medicine.
