Professor Ji Linong Makes an Invited Talk at Australian Diabetes Congress 2018

  Co-hosted by Australian Diabetes Society and Australian Diabetes Educators Association, Australian Diabetes Congress 2018 was held at Adelaide, Australia. Professor Ji Linong, from the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Peking University People’s Hospital, was invited by Australian Diabetes Society to make a talk titled “ Disparity in Care for Type 1 Diabetes in Asia—How Could We Minimize It? ”. As the opening talk on the first day of the Congress, the report received enthusiastic responses.

 

  Later at the Diabetes Education Symposium, Professor Ji Linong made a report titled “ Are There Differences Between Type 2 Diabetes in Caucasian and Asian?—Implication for Therapy ”. In recent years, Professor Ji and his team have done large-scale research in the differences between Type 2 diabetes in Asians and Caucasians. Professor Ji shared their research findings in his report. In countries like Australia inhabited by multi-ethnic groups, such findings provide new thoughts and new proof for Type 2 diabetes therapy.
