Roundtable on Establishing “China-ASEAN University Consortium on Medical Education Held in PKUHSC

  

  On November 2, Peking University Health Science Center held the “Roundtable on Establishing ‘China-ASEAN University Consortium on Medical Education, Research and Health Care’”. Zhan Qimin, Executive Vice President of PKU and President of PKU Health Science Center, and Zhou Hui, Vice Dean of the Department of Education, Culture, and Tourism of China-ASEAN Center, attended the meeting and made speeches. Present at the meeting were Ma Sandra B. Tempongko, the Vice Coordinator of Tropic Medicine and Public Health Network of Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization, Saphonn Vonthanak, President of Cambodia University of Health Science, Manoj Man Shrestha, the frist Vice President of Nepal’s Arniko Society, Wu Weifeng, Vice President of Guangxi Medical University, Zuo Shi, President of the Affiliated Hospital to Guizhou Medical University, and more than ten representatives from ASEAN member countries, i.e. from Malaysia Medical Institute, Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, University of the Philippines, and Thailand Mahidol University.

  The attendee experts agreed unanimously on the establishment of “China-ASEAN University Consortium on Medical Education, Research and Health Care”. Further details of the establishment will be discussed in the future.
