Department of Education is the administrative department in charge of undergraduate medical education (including long-term program) and adult education. In 1994, Office of Teaching Affairs, Office of Student Affairs and Military Office merged into Department of Education, setting foundations for the implementation of holistic education and realization of educational rationale of PKUHSC. The current director of the Department is Prof. Wang Weimin, who is also the assistant president of PKUHSC.

　　Major responsibilities of the Department include: formulating policies for undergraduate education, overall planning and coordinated management of undergraduate education, undertaking quality education and ideological and political work, monitoring the quality of education to improve teaching and promote the development of teachers. Under the department, there are 12 administrative offices, namely, Office of General Affairs, Office of Teaching, Office of Admission, Office of Teaching Evaluation, Office of Educational Administration, Textbook Service Center, Office of Student Affairs (Employment Guidance Center, Psychological Counseling Center), Student Financial Assistance Center, Office of Premedical Student Affairs, Office of Military Education, Office of Adult Education Administration. In addition, the Secretariat of the Working Committee for the Accreditation of Medical Education of Ministry of Education is also located at the Department.
