How to Apply

2026 Undergraduate Degree Programs

I. Programs, Duration, and Main Courses

1. Clinical Medicine, 6-year program (Chinese-taught)

2. Oral Medicine, 5-year program (Chinese-taught)

Mathematics, Physics, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, Human Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Cell Biology, Diagnostics, Medical Imaging, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Dermatology and Venereology, Cariology and Endodontics, Periodontology, Pediatric Dentistry, Preventive Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, etc.


II. Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizen holding a valid foreign passport.

According to the Nationality Law of China and relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education, for applicants who were Chinese citizens before (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents); or who were born in a foreign country with a foreign passport, but either of his/her parents are Chinese citizens now. They must meet the following requirements:


A. Holding a valid foreign passport before the date of April 30, 2022.

B. For applicants who were Chinese citizens before, please provide a proof of cancellation of Chinese nationality.

C. Having a living record of at least two years abroad from April 30, 2022 to April 30, 2026 (more than nine months each year).


Note: The nationality status and records of actual residence abroad shall be determined by the National Immigration Administration of China.


2. Aged between 17 and 30, with a high school diploma or above.


3. Health status meets the requirements of medical majors.


III. Application Procedures

1. Chinese Government Scholarship Students:

Please consult the Chinese embassy/consulate in your country for specific requirements and procedures if you are interested in applying the CSC scholarship.


2. Self-funded Students:

The application and admission tests will be conducted in two batches this year.

(1) Online Application (First Batch: December 12, 2025 - February 28, 2026; Second Batch: March 30, 2026 - April 30, 2026)

Register and log onto the International Student Admission Platform of Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) at http://bjmu.studyatpku.com/ to fill out the application form and upload scanned documents. First-batch applicants must submit their CSCA score reports of the December 2025 or January 2026 CSCA exams. Second-batch applicants must submit their CSCA score reports of the March 2026 and April 2026 CSCA exams.

Required subjects are: STEM Chinese, Mathematics (Chinese language), Physics (Chinese language), Chemistry (Chinese language).


 Required documents to upload:

① System profile photo: Must be a recent standard ID photo.

② Passport photo page and visa page (if applicable).

③ Notarized copy of your graduation certificate/diploma.

④ Notarized copy of your academic transcript, as well as CSCA score report.

⑤ Physical examination results (including basic health check-up items and hepatic function test report).

⑥ Chinese language certificate: For Clinical Medicine: HSK Level 5 certificate. For Stomatology: HSK Level 6 certificate.

⑦ Proof of financial capability equivalent to at least RMB 400,000 (requires an official bank statement showing the account balance; other proofs are not acceptable).

⑧ Other materials: Applicants under 18 must provide identity proof of their guardian; other documents demonstrating learning ability or comprehensive quality, etc.


Notes for online submission:

① Each document (items ③ to ⑧) should be prepared as a single PDF file before uploading. All materials must be clear and legible; otherwise, the application will be returned.

② “Graduation certificate and academic transcript” refers to the high school diploma and a complete high school transcript for applicant with a high school background, or the university diploma and a complete university transcript for applicant with a university background. Current final-year students should provide a pre-graduation certificate. If admitted, the original graduation certificate must be presented upon registration.

③ For incomplete applications, the system will notify applicants to submit supplementary materials. For the first batch, the deadline is March 5, 2026; for the second batch, the deadline is May 11, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.


(2) Application Fee: All applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of RMB 800 before participating in the interview. Applicants who refuse to pay the application fee will be denied the chance of attending the admission interview.


(3) Admission Interview: The admission team will evaluate the applicants' previous academic records and CSCA scores to select qualified candidates for the interview. Interviews will be conducted online in Chinese.

Interview arrangements:

The interview will be conducted online, which will mainly assesse the applicants’ language expression, logical thinking, practical skills, communication and coordination abilities, psychological quality, professional interest, etc.

The time for the interview:

First batch - March 14, 2026 (Saturday);

Second batch - May 16, 2026 (Saturday).


(4) Admission and Enrollment:

① Admission decision will be made based on the applicants’ previous academic performance, CSCA scores, and interview results. The admission list will be announced on website the Office of International Cooperation (OIC):

② The International Student Division will send the Admission Notice, Visa Application Form (JW202) to new students around June 2026.


(5) Enrollment Time and Registration:

The exact date will be specified in the Admission Notice, which is usually late August or early September. Admitted students should promptly apply for X1 visa or residence permit and register on the date indicated in the Admission Notice.


IV. Fees and Notes

1. Tuition: RMB 45,000 per academic year per person.

2. Accommodation: Due to limited on-campus housing, self-funded undergraduate students will not be guaranteed university dormitory accommodation starting from 2025. Students must arrange off-campus housing independently; the university will provide appropriate assistance.

3. Insurance: Approximately RMB 800 per person per year. According to regulations of the Chinese Ministry of Education, all international students must purchase comprehensive medical insurance for international students in China before they can complete student registration.

4. Costs for textbooks, medical expenses, transportation, and meals are to be borne by the student.

VI. Additional Information

The International Student Division is located within the International Cooperation and Exchange Center. It is responsible for the recruitment and academic management of international students, and provides consultation and services regarding admission, visa/residence permits, academic guidance, medical insurance, etc.

The Office of the International Student Dormitory is located within the International Student Building and is responsible for property management and services for the student apartments.
