Launch of “Peking University Medicine Future Learning Center” Project

On the afternoon of June 16, Peking University School of Basic Medical Sciences and Shanghai  Able Digital & Tech Co., Ltd. (zhihuishu.com) held a signing ceremony for the joint establishment of the “Peking University Medical Future Learning Center” in the Roadshow Hall of the Science and Innovation Building at Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC). This collaboration aims to respond to the national strategy of deeply integrating artificial intelligence and education by 2030, explore new digital paradigms in the field of medical education, and promote systematic reforms in talent cultivation models. Qiao Jie, PKUHSC President, and Wang Hui, Chairman of Zhuihuishu, attended the event and delivered remarks.

In her remarks, Qiao Jie pointed out that promoting the deep integration of artificial intelligence and education is a crucial task in implementing the national plan to build China into an education powerhouse and the “AI + Education” action plan, and that establishing the Future Learning Center is a key measure to bridge the “last mile” in the practical application of smart education. She emphasized the core role of basic medical sciences in talent cultivation and expressed her hope that the center would integrate the profound heritage of PKU Medicine with modern technological methods to create a new, demonstrable, and replicable paradigm for medical education, thereby leading the development of new medical disciplines and serving the national strategic goals of educational modernization.

Wang Hui noted in his speech that medical higher education bears the dual mission of education and healthcare, facing immense pressure to innovate yet unprecedented opportunities. He emphasized that the rigorous nature of medical content leaves no room for deviation, requiring the development of a dedicated medical AI and medical knowledge operating system based on standardized, high-quality corpora to support the cultivation of medical students’ professional abilities. Both parties will continue to strengthen AI development in line with the strategic direction, advancing case-based empirical training and practical teaching that integrates virtual spaces with AI-driven role-playing. Zhihuishu will commit its highest-standard technical resources to pioneer new pathways for AI-empowered medical education.

At the meeting, Yang Ence, Vice Dean of the School of Basic Medical Sciences, and Wang Yunning, General Manager of Zhihuishu’s AI Business Division, jointly released the construction plan for the “Peking University Medicine Future Learning Center.” In the presence of attending guests, representatives from both parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
