On September 18, 2021, the Inaugural Meeting of the 2nd Intelligent Medical Committee of the World Association of Chinese Doctors (WACD) was held. Zhang Jun, vice president of Peking University People's Hospital (PKUPH), was elected chairman of the 2^nd Intelligent Medical Committee of WACD. At the meeting, Huo Wenxun, president of the WACD and dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Macau University of Science and Technology, presented the letter of appointment to Chairman Zhang Jun.

　　Zhang Jun said that, upon establishment, the Intelligent Medical Committee will actively carry out scientific research in such fields as medical informatization, health big data and artificial intelligence, strengthen the innovative application of artificial intelligence technology in medical care, combine advanced concepts, technologies and practices with the current situation of domestic medical care, constantly promote and explore a set of intelligent medical solutions and practical methods suitable for China's actual conditions, and thus contribute to the development of China's cause of intelligent medicine.
