Recently the online course “Basic Medical Experimental Technology and Equipment Application” developed by Peking University was released officially on the education platform for medical postgraduates.

　　This online course lays stress on training the scientific research abilities of postgraduate medicine-related majors in terms of doing basic medical experimental research. Its contents are practical, basic, and cutting-edge. The teaching of equipment and technology is complete. The course covers introduction of the principles of regular basic medical experimental technology and of the function and application of conventional equipment. It also includes introduction of various sequencing technologies, living imaging technology, the application of living cell workstation, intestinal flora research technology, and other advanced basic medical laboratory technologies and application of relevant equipment. At the same time, the course pays attention to virtual experiment and artificial intelligence in the teaching. The teaching team is diversified, including not only teachers and researchers, but also technicians who are familiar with laboratory procedures and engineers who know well equipment’s structures and functions.
