The "Virtual Teaching and Research Office of Prosthodontics " Launched
On the afternoon of May 26, 2022, the "Virtual Teaching and Research Office of Prosthodontics", one of the construction sites among the first batch of virtual teaching and research offices of the Ministry of Education, held online a kick-off meeting and the first plenary session. The meeting was presided over by Zhou Yongsheng, professor of Peking University School of Stomatology and the discipline leader of the virtual teaching and research office. Fifteen physical teaching and research offices of prosthodontics from 14 universities across the country attended the meeting.
This virtual teaching and research office is composed of 15 prosthodontics-related teaching and research offices or departments in 14 colleges and universities, including the Prosthodontics Teaching and Research Office of PKU School of Stomatology (as the leading unit), one virtual simulation teaching and research office, and 13 teaching and research offices in the northeast, central and western regions and border areas, covering most of the prosthodontics teaching and research offices / majors in colleges and universities of stomatology in the central and western regions and border areas. The construction of the Virtual Teaching and Research Office relies on the national key clinical specialty of prosthodontics of Peking University and the national first-class undergraduate courses. The Virtual Office has a strong faculty. They are all backbones and discipline leaders from various colleges and universities, representing the backbones of prosthodontics in China. Professor Zhou Yongsheng pointed out that all members of the Virtual Teaching and Research Office should make full use of this advantage and make concerted efforts according to the requirements of the Ministry of Education, to innovate the teaching and research methods, promote the construction of a national excellent teaching resource bank of Prosthodontics, deepen the sinking and radiation of advanced teaching resources, and further enhance the homogenization and high-quality development of the discipline and courses of prosthodontics in China.
