On December 24, the main structure of Peking University Hospital of Stomatology (PKUHS) Sanya Branch was capped as scheduled, which is major progress since the official launch of the hospital construction project in July 2023. It provides an important guarantee for the unveiling and trial operation of PKUHS Sanya Branch in December 2025.

　　The construction project of PKUHS Sanya Branch is the third batch of national regional medical center construction projects approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. It is also the only national regional medical center construction project in the field of stomatology in China at present. Located in Haitang District, Sanya City, the hospital covers an area of 104.25 mu (about 6.95 hectares), with a construction area of 86,700 square meters. It has 100 planned beds and 150 dental chairs. Once completed and opened, PKUHS Sanya Branch will surely provide the most important support for high-level stomatological medical services and health care for residents in Sanya City and Hainan Province, and offer a powerful guarantee for stomatological medical services for the national strategies of Hainan Province as an international free trade port and an international tourist destination.
