On February 21, 2025, 72 students from the PKUHSC-MPU Academy of Nursing jointly established by Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) and Macau Polytechnic University (MPU) arrived in Beijing, commencing an 8-month journey of theoretical study and clinical practice. The volunteers waited early in advance at Beijing Capital International Airport, warmly greeting every student who came from afar. They guided the students to PKUHSC and assisted them in handling relevant procedures. Jin Xiaoyan, Deputy Dean of the Academy of Nursing, and Dai Hongxia, Curriculum Director, accompanied the students of PKUHSC to the registration. They expressed heartfelt gratitude for the meticulous arrangements and thoughtful services provided by PKUHSC and PKU School of Nursing.

　　At 3 p.m., Qiao Jie, Executive Vice President of PKU and President of PKUHSC, came to the registration site and had cordial conversations with the students, extending her warm welcome and sincere greetings to the teachers and students from Macau.

　　In order to implement the central government's arrangements for Macau's work and support the development of Macau's health undertakings, on June 8, 2021, PKUHSC and MPU officially signed a cooperation agreement in the field of nursing, and jointly established the " PKUHSC-MPU Academy of Nursing " (hereinafter referred to as the "Academy of Nursing"). In 2024, the first batch of students of the Academy completed 8 months of study and clinical practice in Beijing. This year, the arrival of the second batch of students represents further progress in exploring a new model of higher education cooperation between Beijing and Macau. It provides a new paradigm for the development of the nursing discipline in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and contributes to the construction of a "Healthy Bay Area".
