From May 16th to 21st, 2025, the American Thoracic Society (ATS) International Conference, one of the world’s top academic conferences in the field of respiratory and critical care medicine, was held in San Francisco. More than 12,000 experts and scholars from over 80 countries attended the conference. The Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of Peking University Third Hospital (PKUTH) actively participated in international academic exchanges, with a total of three research achievements selected, including one invited to deliver a special report and two presented as poster displays, demonstrating the department’s cutting-edge exploration and academic strength in the research field of respiratory diseases.

　　During the reporting session of the “Respiratory Structure and Function (RSF) Study Group”, Dr. Chen Dian, a doctoral student from Professor Chen Yahong’s team, systematically introduced the basic research on “Lipid Nanoparticle-Delivered Hepatocyte Growth Factor mRNA Promotes Lung Tissue Repair in Emphysema”. The research won the RSF Study Group Award, and Chen Dian was awarded the ATS-ISRD (International Society for Respiratory Diseases) Young Investigator Award.
