Swiss Authoritative Cardiac Surgeons Visits PKUTH Department of Cardiac Surgery
Recently, Professor Omer Dzemali, Director of the Heart Surgery Alliance Zurich and the Allianz Hertzchirurgie Zurich, and other experts visited the Department of Cardiac Surgery of Peking University Third Hospital. They had in-depth academic discussions with Professor Ling Yunpeng’s team on robot-assisted minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting technology and conducted surgical observations. This visit not only reflects the international influence of Peking University Third Hospital in this field but also showcases the significant progress of cardiovascular surgery in China from “technology introduction” to “solution output”.
Swiss experts observe a heart surgery at PKUTH
During the visit, the experts observed the robot-assisted minimally invasive coronary artery bypass surgery at PKUTH and visited the operating room. Professor Dzemali highly praised: “Peking University Third Hospital is at the forefront of the world in terms of technological innovation and clinical promotion in the field of minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting.”
Meanwhile, Professor Dzemali stated that to further deepen the cooperation, he will send team members to the Department of Cardiac Surgery of PKUTH to learn robotic surgical techniques. At the same time, he will invite Professor Ling Yunpeng’s team to Switzerland to guide robotic minimally invasive bypass surgery and share their experiences.
