Two PKUHSC Journals Win Funding from 2026 Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone

In accordance with the requirements of the Measures for the Administration of Special Funds for Supporting the Improvement of International Development Level in Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone  (Document No. Jingke Fa〔2024〕12), after rigorous procedures including project application, qualification review and expert evaluation, two journals of Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) have recently obtained funding under the 2026 Program for Elevating International Development Level of Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone:

1.  Advanced Clinical Engineering (English Journal of  Medical-Engineering Innovation ) — Supported by the 2026 Program for the Development of High-Level International Scientific Journals (New Journal Initiation Project)

Advanced Clinical Engineering  is a brand-new open-access English journal sponsored by Peking University Third Hospital (PKUTH) and co-published by Higher Education Press. Adhering to the mission of “Addressing clinical pain points and advancing technology translation”, the journal strives to build an international academic bridge linking clinical insights and engineering innovation, and promote full-chain collaboration across medical-engineering interdisciplinary fields from demand identification to achievement transformation.

2. Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinical Medicine (English Journal of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology )— Supported by the 2026 Program for the Development of High-Level International Scientific Journals (Journal Excellence Enhancement Project)

Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinical Medicine is supervised by the Ministry of Education, sponsored by Peking University, and co-published with BMJ Publishing Group. Centering on four core disciplines—gynecologic oncology, pelvic medicine, maternal-fetal medicine, and reproductive medicine—the journal adheres to the tenet of “Clinical practice guides research, and research empowers clinical care”. It was indexed in ESCI in June 2026 and will receive its first Journal Impact Factor in 2027. Prior to this milestone, the journal has been included in Scopus, DOAJ, Embase, and the Chinese Core Journal of Science and Technology.
