PKUHSC Office of International Cooperation Hosts Nature Master Classes
Nature Master Classes, an expert training program, was hosted June 18-19 at the Peking University Health Science Center auditorium of international cooperation and exchange. Lecturers of the program included editors from Nature portfolio, professors from prestigious universities, scientists from top research institutes, and officials from funding agencies and the industry. They shared their experiences in research with fellow researchers at various career stages in the audience. Dr. Jeffrey Robens in particular hosted training sessions in academic presentation (June 18) and manuscript writing (June 19) to an audience of about 180. Dr. Robens is Editorial Development Manager at Nature Research and head lecturer of the master classes.
In academic presentation, Dr. Robens taught principles and skills in presentation structuring, poster designing, and slides development.
In manuscript writing, Dr. Robens taught research methodology, clinical study design, and bias reduction.
The master classes have provided a platform for faculty and students at PKUHSC to communicate and learn with experts from top international academic journals. The program is expected to contribute to a positive research atmosphere on the campus.
