Peking University Third Hospital’s Chief of Radiation Oncology was invited to the 2025 Workshop of the Groupe Européen de Curiethérapie - European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (GEC-ESTRO). Together with authoritative experts and scholars worldwide, Prof. Wang Junjie participated in discussions over the latest development and the path forward for brachytherapy and in deliberation of European brachytherapy guidelines.

At the workshop, Prof. Wang presented the study and practice in his department at the PKU Third Hospital in applying 3D-printed personalized template-assisted interstitial brachytherapy to complex head and neck tumors, which aroused enthusiastic discussions among international peers and received high praise from Frank-Andre Siebert, Chair of the GEC-ESTRO Committee.
