Oxford Pro-Vice-Chancellor Gives Lecture at PKUHSC

Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) hosted a lecture at the Lecture Hall of its Medical Science and Technology Building in October 19, featuring Prof. Richard Hobbs, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford and Director of the Oxford Institute of Digital Health. The lecture, titled “Digital Health for Better Care”, attracted an audience of over 100 faculty members and students, including Jiang Wen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Center for Mental Health and Mental Disorder Prevention and Control, Wang Qian, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Mental Health Association and Deputy Director of its Youth Working Committee, and Sun Qiudan, Director of the PKUHSC Office of International Cooperation.
In the Q&A session after the lecture, Prof. Hobbs answered questions on disease prevention through digital health, challenges and strategies of cross-regional sharing of medical data in the UK, and the application of digital health technologies in clinical research.

During his stay at the PKUHSC, Prof. Hobbs met with the faculty at the School of Health Humanities and had talks on opportunities for cooperation in short-term exchange program and research.
