On September 18th, the Signing and Unveiling Ceremony of the “PKU Medicine - Tongrentang National Pharma Joint Lab for Oral Ecology and Healthcare Innovation” – co-founded by Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) and Beijing Tongrentang National Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. – was successfully held in the Lecture Hall on the 4th Floor of the Science and Technology Building at PKUHSC.

Witnessed by the distinguished guests present, Xiao Yuan, Vice President of PKUHSC, and Yan Han, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Beijing Tongrentang, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. Qiao Jie, Executive Vice President of PKU, President of PKUHSC, and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, together with Dai Xiaofeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Beijing Tongrentang, unveiled the plaque for the joint lab, which marks the official launch of the "PKU Medicine - Tongrentang National Pharma Joint Lab for Oral Ecology and Healthcare Innovation".

From the top-level design of PKUHSC to the century-long persistence of Tongrentang; from the solid strength in scientific research to the spiritual core of cultural inheritance, the establishment of the Joint Lab carries a dual mission endowed by the times. Moving forward, the Joint Lab will build a high-level bridge between scientific research and industry, with original scientific and technological breakthroughs as the driving force and achievement transformation as the ultimate goal, enabling traditional Chinese medicine to radiate new vitality in the fields of oral health and general healthcare.
