Peking University Health Development Forum 2025 Opens
On November 1, 2025, the Peking University Health Development Forum 2025 kicked off in Beijing. The forum was jointly organized by the PKU China Center for Health Development Studies, the PKU Beijing Institute for Health Development, the Department of Health Policy and Management of PKU School of Public Health, the Center for Health Policy and Technology Assessment of PKU Health Science Center, the Key Laboratory of Health System Reform and Governance of the National Health Commission (NHC), and the World Health Organization's Collaborating Center for Universal Health Coverage. It was co-organized by the China Health Economics Association, NHC’s Health Development Research Center, and the Chinese Hospital Association (CHA).

Jiao Ning, Vice President of PKUHSC, Yang Jianli, Director of the System Reform Department of NHC, Saia Ma’u Piukala, Regional Director for the Western Pacific Region at WHO, and Mao Qun’an, Vice President of CHA, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
The Peking University Health Development Forum 2025 will be a two-day event featuring thematic discussions on topics including universal health coverage, China’s health development and global health promotion, the capital’s health development, and the construction of high-quality, efficient, and integrated health service systems. More than 200 guests from domestic and foreign governments, international organizations, academic research institutions, enterprises and academic journals will jointly explore policy innovations, practical experiences and effectiveness evaluations in primary health care system development. They will engage in in-depth exchanges of national practices, explore efficient collaboration mechanisms and pathways, and contribute wisdom and solutions to advance global health governance and achieve the goals of “Healthy China” and global health.
