PKU•Mayo Clinic Primary Medical Innovation and Application Forum Held in Beijing

  On December 12, under the joint guidance of Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) and China Construction International Co., Ltd.(CCICG), jointly sponsored by PKUHSC School of Continuing Education and Hainan Qiwasong Chengmei Medical Technology Development Co., Ltd. and participated by Mayo Clinic Department of Family Medicine, the " PKU·Mayo Clinic Primary Medical Innovation and Application Forum " was held at Zhongguanyuan Global Village PKU. With the theme of "Integrating Innovation and Focusing on Application", the forum brought together experts and scholars from PKUHSC, Mayo Clinic Department of Family Medicine and the field of general practice in China, and senior researchers from the field of insurance both in China and the U.S., as well as medical workers from multiple general hospitals and community medical services around the country to discuss the development of general practice and the community medical service model, and the value and significance of commercial insurance in the community medical service system.

  

  Duan Liping, vice president of PKUHSC, Gregory Garrison from Mayo Clinic Department of Family Medicine, Chi Chunhua, dean of PKUHSC Department of General Practice, and Kenny Deng, former vice president of California Blue Shield Medical Insurance Company, made keynote speeches respectively. Dialogues were also made on two themes: "general practitioner training and career development of general practitioners in China and the U.S." and "commercial insurance and the value of family doctors ". Chinese and American experts shared their practical experiences and frontier ideas, and interacted with the audience.

  

  "PKU·Mayo Clinic Community Medical Innovation and Application Forum" is a collaboration between PKU Medicine and Mayo Clinic, which integrates academic studies and practical experiences, and brings together well-known experts in general practice and leading figures in commercial insurance industry in China and the United States.

  

  After the forum, the China-US Joint Workshop on Capacity Building of Family Doctors of PKU·Mayo Clinic was held at PKUHSC from December 13 to 14. The workshop will contribute a lot to the construction of general practice and the quality improvement of community medical services in China.
