Professor Gu Jin Attends the PelvEx Collaborative 2025 Academic Annual Conference in Sydney
From October 17 to 19, the PelvEx Collaborative 2025 Academic Annual Conference was grandly held in Sydney, Australia, attracting worldwide attention in the field of pelvic oncology surgery.

More than 300 top experts from over 30 countries around the world gathered at this conference. Gu Jin, Professor at Peking University Cancer Hospital, General President of Shouyi Healthcare, and Chief Expert of the Gastrointestinal Surgery Center at Peking University Shougang Hospital, was invited to attend the meeting. After the opening ceremony, in the first session, Prof. Gu delivered a keynote report titled “Survival Benefits of Pelvic Exenteration in Selected Patients with T4bM1 Rectal Cancer: A Multicenter Study”, in which he showcased the breakthrough “Chinese experience” achieved in this highly difficult field to the world, arousing a warm response from the attending experts.
PelvEx Collaborative is an international academic organization that brings together world-renowned experts in this field, focusing on complex pelvic radical surgeries. At the closing ceremony, Peter J. Lee, Chairman of PelvEx Collaborative, announced the decision: the 2026 PelvEx International Academic Annual Conference will be held in Shanghai, China. On behalf of Professor Zhang Jian from Shanghai Changzheng Hospital—the host institution of the 2026 conference, Professor Gu Jin delivered a speech together with Professor Su Ning present at the meeting, sincerely inviting international counterparts to gather in Shanghai in 2026. This decision marks that the clinical and scientific research capabilities of China’s pelvic oncology surgery have been fully recognized by global peers.
