Beijing International Summit of Gastrointestinal Cancers and CGOG 2020 Held Online
The year of 2020 is an extraordinary year, in which all the communities, especially the medical community, have made immense contributions to the fight against COVID-19. The Beijing International Summit of Gastrointestinal Cancers and CGOG 2020 was held online on June 4. The Chinese Gastrointestinal Oncology Group (CGOG) also welcomed the annual convention in its 10th anniversary.
With the theme of “innovation, cooperation, and guidance”, the convention invited over a hundred leading experts from home and abroad to explore in depth the key issues in clinical gastrointestinal cancers and research translation, especially the present situation and development of the clinical research of immunotherapy and targeted therapy, and to discuss the future directions of China’s drug research and development for gastrointestinal cancers and precision treatment research.
Academician Han Qide and Professor Ji Jiafu made wonderful opening speeches in the Summit. The gathering of issues of focus in each special session includes not only the latest thoughts in the East and the West and frontier development introduction, but also excellent discussions and exchanges of academic opinions.
