Peking University Third Hospital hosted Prof. Mehra Golshan for a visit at its department of surgery on April 17. Around the topic of “Innovations in Breast Cancer Surgical Techniques and Precision Treatment of HR+/HER2- Early Breast Cancer”, the visitor talked extensively with the department’s surgeons, the multidisciplinary team (MDT) for breast cancer, and editorial board members of the journal Advanced Clinical Engineering (ACE) . Prof. Golshan is a cancer surgeon who serves as Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Surgical Services at Yale Cancer Center and Chair of the Education Committee of the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).

This exchange promoted academic dialogue between Peking University Third Hospital and Yale Cancer Center, and laid a solid foundation for further cooperation in exploring interdisciplinary innovation between medicine and engineering and improving treatment of breast cancer.
