Guo Jun of Peking University Cancer Hospital Elected Vice President of Melanoma World Society

  Guo Jun, vice president of Peking University Cancer Hospital (PKUCH), was elected vice president of Melanoma World Society (MWS) in the just-concluded Board Meeting of the 10th World Congress of Melanoma and the 17th European Association of Dermato-Oncology (EADO). He is the first Asian to be elected vice president of MWS.

  The core task of MWS is to enhance medical education, promote the establishment of guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma, enhance the accessibility of new treatments, and improve the quality of clinical research on melanoma. MWS is the world's largest authoritative association in the field of melanoma, covering six continents.

  Professor Guo Jun has become the first member of the Asian Presidium since the establishment of MWS. His being elected reflects the vigorous development of melanoma research in China, which has been fully recognized by international peers, and also represents the extensive influence of Chinese melanoma research achievements in the world.
