The First PKU-New Horizon Health Academic Frontier Forum Held

  On September 18, Peking University International Cancer Institute (PKUICI) and New Horizon Health (NHH) jointly held the first PKU-NHH Academic Frontier Forum at PKU Health Science Center. Academician Zhan Qimin, Vice Chairman of PKU School Council and Dean of PKUICI, Zhu Yeqing, Executive Director and CEO of NHH, co-chaired the forum. Nearly 100 people attended the forum, including leaders and experts from PKU and its affiliated hospitals, representatives from NHH, and PKU teachers and students.

  

  Zhan Qimin pointed out that the early cancer screening was of great importance in terms of the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer, and health management. PKUICI’s cooperation with NHH will push forward the transformation of cancer research achievements.

  

  Zhu Yeqing said that NHH was originated from PKU with its three founders being PKU alumni. NHH is the first Chinese company focusing on the early cancer screening. He expected to cooperate with PKUICI and PKU School of Life Sciences, so as to build a bridge between scientific research and market, and to promote the transformation of scientific innovation achievements.

  

  Keynote reports were delivered afterwards, and the attending experts and scholars made excellent sharing of their research.

  

  Zhan Qimin concluded the forum in the end. The forum was an academic exploration of industry-university-research collaboration. Funds and awards will be established in the future to encourage more young scientists to climb the academic peaks.
