Physicians from Belarus Completes Advanced Training at PKUTH Department of Ultrasound Medicine
From November 5 to November 26, 2025, Physicians Marina Tanasiyenka and Dzmitry Ivanovich Haurylenka from Belarus completed a three-week training program at the Department of Ultrasound Medicine, Peking University Third Hospital (PKUTH). During the training, the two visiting physicians were deeply involved in clinical practice, focusing on observing and learning advanced techniques such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and interventional ultrasound. This exchange marks the solid implementation of the “three-step” strategy for ultrasound medicine cooperation between the two sides.

Fu Peng Explains the Principles and Applications of Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound
In March 2024, Professor Chukanau, President of the Belarusian Society of Ultrasound and Rector of Vitebsk State Medical University, visited PKUTH as part of an expert delegation from the Ministry of Health of Belarus. He highly praised the clinical and scientific research capabilities of the Department of Ultrasound Medicine and extended an invitation for cooperation.
In April 2025, at the First Seminar on the Development and Innovation of Medical Ultrasound, the “PKUTH-Belarus Ultrasound Training Base” was inaugurated. The event was jointly witnessed by the Belarusian Ambassador to China, President Fu Wei of PKUTH, and President Hou Yan of the China Association for Medical Equipment (CAME), marking the entry of bilateral cooperation into a new stage of institutionalization and regularization.
As a key achievement under the framework of the China-Belarus Memorandum of Understanding on Medical Cooperation, the base will serve as a platform for ultrasound medical talent training, teleconsultation, and scientific research collaboration between the two countries.
The two Belarusian physicians expressed that, during this training program, they were deeply impressed by the efficient operation of China’s medical system and the high technical level of the Department of Ultrasound Medicine at PKUTH. They also extended an invitation to their colleagues at PKUTH to visit and exchange ideas in Belarus.
