PKU Launches China-ASEAN Joint Training Course in Emergency Medicine
China-ASEAN Training Course on Key Techniques in Emergency Medicine held its opening ceremony at Peking University in June 23. President Qiao Jie of Peking University Health Science Center addressed the audience at the ceremony, among whom are 18 trainees from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The PKU-hosted course was sponsored by the Department of International Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. This 15-day program would cover know-how and best practices in basic/advanced life support, emergency airway management, target temperature management, and trauma treatment. It would create ties in China-ASEAN cooperative network of emergency medicine and improve emergency capacity in the region.
