On April 18, 2026, the “Houdao Academy” of Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) was officially founded, with its flagship initiative Medical Education Leadership Tomorrow (MELT) launched simultaneously. The inauguration ceremony was held in conjunction with the conference themed “Digital Intelligence, Integration and Innovation: A New Paradigm for Future Medical Talent Training”, co-hosted by Peking University Third Hospital (PKUTH) and the National Center for Medical Education Development.

Guided by the Medical Education Committee of the Chinese Society of Higher Education and the Medical Education Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and relying on Peking University, “Houdao Academy” aims to gather top-tier global medical education resources, integrate interdisciplinary academic strengths and industry practical expertise, and cultivate leaders capable of spearheading future reforms in medical education.

Centering on the core philosophy of “Melting Boundaries, Leading the Future”, the MELT Training Program builds an all-round training system underpinned by four pillars: Mindset (strategic vision), Expertise (professional foundation), Leadership (practical governance capacity), and Together (collaborative co-creation). At the inauguration ceremony, Module One — “Forging a Shared Vision (Mindset): Global Vision and Strategic Insight” — officially kicked off.

The launch of “Houdao Academy” and the MELT Program of PKUHSC marks a crucial step for PKU Medicine in leading the innovative development of China’s medical education and fostering high-level leading talents.
