Prof. Wang Weiming, Executive Deputy Director of the National Center for Health Professions Education Development and Head of Institute of Medical Education of Peking University, spoke about China’s practice of AI-enabled medical education at the 2025 Global MOOC and Online Education Conference held December 3-4 at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). As an annual authoritative international conference in the field of digitalization in higher education, this year's conference—themed Breaking Boundaries and Reshaping Futures: Open and Intelligent Global Education—was sponsored by the Global MOOC and Online Education Alliance and co-hosted by Tsinghua University and the UNAM. It gathered experts from dozens of countries around the world to focus on education reform in the age of artificial intelligence and released landmark reports and consensus documents guiding industry development.

At the session for quality and equity in education, Prof. Wang presented the application of MedSeekAI®, a large model for medical education, and delivered a report titled Addressing the Fourth Generation of Medical Education: Building an AI-Enabled Future Learning Center. He systematically reviewed China's exploration and achievements in promoting the transformation of medical education in the digital and intelligent era, showcasing Peking University's leading work in the integrated innovation of artificial intelligence and medical education.
