The 2nd Beijing-Hong Kong-Lanzhou Intelligent Image-Guided Ion Radiotherapy Forum Held
With the support of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Center, the second Beijing-Hong Kong-Lanzhou Intelligent Image-Guided Ion Radiotherapy Forum was successfully held in Beijing from August 21 to 22, 2025, in a hybrid form of online and offline.
Forty-nine domestic and foreign representatives from Beijing, Hong Kong, Lanzhou, Wuwei, Macao, Tianjin and Shenzhen in China, as well as from University College London in the UK, the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland and GSI in Germany attended the conference for exchange. The co-chairs of this conference were Zhang Yibao, a senior engineer from Peking University Cancer Hospital, Li Qiang, a researcher from the Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Li Tian, an assistant professor from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
This event has expanded the global cooperative units of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Lanzhou Medical Physics Collaborative Innovation Platform. For the first time, it has introduced new strategic partners such as the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Association of Radiologists, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, Hong Kong Tuen Mun Hospital, the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, GSI in Germany, the University of Macau, and Macau University of Science and Technology. By integrating the complementary academic resources of various units and establishing a long-term communication mechanism, a favorable international academic ecological environment has been created for the research and development of multimodal intelligent image guidance technology and talent cultivation of domestic ion radiotherapy equipment.
